Dennis “Den” Dux

Dennis D. “Den” Dux, 73, Fountain City, formerly of Loyal, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. A celebration of life for Den will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at the Loyal American Legion Post 175 Hall _________________________________________________________ will be held at the American Legion on Friday, from 9:30-11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery, in Loyal, with military rites conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post 175. Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews: Tanya Wilke, Todd Rohde, Shannon Rohde, Sonia Suda, Jeff Counard, Jenny Micksch, Kim Smith, Lisa Hanson, Denise Vanderkooy and Jason Dux.

________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________ Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1968. After high school, he worked on the farm with his father until entering the U.S. Army on Oct. 22, 1970. Den served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on May 8, 1972, earning a Bronze Star. He later moved to Madison, where he worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation until his retirement. He returned to Loyal in 1994 and lived there yearround until his mother’s passing. Shortly after, he moved to a home he purchased in Fountain City, where he spent the summer months, and spent his winters at his home in Arkansas.

He had many interests, but especially loved riding motorcycle, skiing, watching ________ _______ ____ _______ __________ _____ __________ ____________ ____ _______ ____ selling just about anything.
