Case dismissed

A charge of fishing with more than three hooks/ lines/baits (one or two over) against Eric M. Hoium, 51, Janesville, was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.

The following entered pleas of not guilty: Tracy F. Gabryel, 56, Gilman, two counts of neglecting a child (consequence is bodily harm); Lillian C. Goure, 48, Medford, four counts of intentionally abusing a hazardous substance; Shane D. Petrie Sr. a.k.a. Shane D. Petrie, 27, Rib Lake, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse-infliction of physical pain or injury), disorderly conduct and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

Ryan M. Brovan, 27, Eau Claire, pled no contest to an amended charge of operating without a valid licensefi rst offense and forfeited $267.50. The original charge had been operating while revoked.

Rebecca L. Sells, 57, Gilman, pled no contest to an amended charge of disorderly conduct and forfeited $330.50. The original charge had been battery.

Stefanie K. Matthias, 35, Medford, pled no contest to possession of THC. Sentence was withheld and Matthias was placed on probation for one year on the condition she pay a forfeiture of $443 and supervision fees as ordered by the Department of Corrections (DOC); submit to a DNA sample; and undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation. Counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a child were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.

Jarrett A. Rausch, 22, Medford, pled no contest to possession of THC. Sentence was withheld and Rausch was placed on probation for one year on the condition he pay a forfeiture of $443 and supervision fees as ordered by the DOC; submit to a DNA sample; undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation; and undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and comply with any treatment recommendations. Counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor bail jumping were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.

Separate charges for a seatbelt violation and operating while suspended against Rausch were dismissed on prosecutor’s motions.
