Traffic court

The following made initial appearances in court and entered pleas of not guilty: Gabriel J. Curtis, 17, Rib Lake, underage drinking-possession (first offense); Kaysha M. Harmon, 34, Owen, operating without a valid license-third or greater offense within three years, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance and non-registration of vehicle; Jodell L. Humphreys, 46, Medford, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, non-registration of vehicle and operating while revoked-first offense); Leigh E. Sahlin, 81, Lublin, failure to keep vehicle under control; Trevor J. Schmitt, 20, Lublin, operating a motor vehicle without an adequate muffler; Daniel A. Schwartz, 41, Medford, operating while revoked and operating a motor vehicle without insurance; Scott W. Shilts, 43, Stanley, speeding 25-29 mph over the limit; Randy J. Uhren, 20, underage drinking- possession (first offense) and deposit or discharge solid waste on public or private property-less than 10 gallons; Dagoberto Zelaya Calero, 44, Dorchester, operating without a valid license-third or greater offense within three years and operating a motor vehicle without insurance; Michael J. Madison Jr., 19, Medford, operating without carrying license.

Tyra K. Wicke, 17, Medford, appeared at trial for four separate charges of truancy. The court ordered deferred prosecution agreements for two of the charges on the condition Wicke must not be truant for a period of four months and provide proof of same. Upon successful completion of the agreements, the court will dismiss each charge. The court found Wicke guilty of one charge of truancy-second or greater offense and ordered a forfeiture of $263.50. The court dismissed the fourth charge of truancy on its own motion.

Vincent J. Seidel, 16, Stetsonville, made an initial appearance in court and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of six months for a charge of speeding 16-19 mph over the limit. Upon successful completion of the first offenders program, the court will dismiss the case.

Miranda A. Weiler, 28, Tomahawk, pled guilty to operating while under the influence-first offense [prohibited alcohol concentration (PAC) greater than or equal to 0.15 percent]. Weiler forfeited $1,035.50; her driver’s license was revoked for seven months; an ignition interlock device is to be installed on her vehicle for 12 months; and she must complete an alcohol and drug assessment and follow through with a driver safety plan.

A separate charge of operating with a PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent-first offense against Weiler was dismissed on the court’s own motion.
