Beverly Denk

Beverly Denk


Beverly Joan Denk (Haueser), 95, passed away peacefully at her apartment home at the Neillsville Community Center on Dec. 1, 2023. Beverly was born in Greenwood, on Feb. 11, 1928, to George and Alma (Erickson) Haueser. She attended Greenwood schools and was married on June 23, 1948, to Bernard Denk. During her lifetime, Bev worked at the Greenwood Co-op, Farmers’ Store, Greenwood Legion Hall, F& M Bank and the Greenwood City Hall. Beverly is survived by her three sons: Dennis (Connie) Denk, Steven (Patti) Denk, and Russell (Linda) Denk; her two daughters: Debra Swiggum and Marla (Edward) Ruano; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bernard Denk; sisters: Audrey (Wilbur) Kehrberg and Joyce (Merle) Hales; brother, Garth (Jean) Haueser; granddaughter, Lauren Swiggum; and grandson, Mitchell Denk. Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a friend to so many. She enjoyed walking, reading, playing cards, garage sales, attending church services, and sharing laughs over cocktails with friends and family. Daniel L. Davel, 77, Loyal, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at Clark County Rehabilitation & Living Center in Owen. Private family services will be held, with burial of cremains in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Loyal. Daniel Lynn Davel was born on Dec. 13, 1945, in Marsh- ______________________________________________________ el. He was raised in Loyal, receiving his education at St. Anthony’s Parochial School and Loyal Public Schools. Dan then entered the U.S. Army on June 16, 1966, and fought in Vietnam until he was later honorably discharged due to injuries. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Dan was united in marriage to Louella C. Raatz on April 17, 1971, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. They later divorced. Matthew Joseph Lindner, 56, Loyal, passed away on Nov. 9, 2023, at home in the arms of the love of his life, Sheri Slark, and his pet cat, Betsy, sitting on his lap. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church basement in Loyal with visitation at 11 a.m. and a 12:30 p.m. luncheon. Please bring along your memories to share. Matthew (Matt) was born May 8, 1967. He was brought home and cherished by his parents, James and Arlene (Balzer) Lindner. He was raised in Loyal, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1985. He attended tech school in Eau Claire, earning a degree in construction. In 1990, Matt purchased the family dairy farm from his parents. Matt always had the ability to do _____________________________________________________________________________________ sold advertising in Minneapolis, Minn., bid jobs and ran construction crews in St. Paul, Minn., and was a milk hauler and helped with some of the mechanics for Telschow Trucking. He also traded in the stock market. He met the love of his life, Sheri Slark, in 1994. They had an amazing relationship for the past 29 years and would both always say how blessed they were to be together. There were numerous things in life that brought Matt joy: taking care of all types ____________________________________________________________________________________ and hunting. Most of all, he had a real passion for being there to help others with his kind and gentle approach, knowing just the right words of encouragement. Our hearts always felt lighter with his supportive hugs and love. Matt loved with his whole heart. Rosalie Auman, 71, Spencer, passed away on Sunday, _____ ____ ______ ___ ____ ______ ___ ____ _____ ___ ____________ following a short battle with lung cancer. Per her wishes, no services will be held. Rosalie was born on April 8, 1952, in Willard, to Frank and Rose Auman. She was raised on the family farm and attended Willard and Greenwood area schools, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1970. She then moved to Chicago, where she worked at HI Magazine for more than 10 years. It was in Chicago that she met the love of her life, Darrel Wejner. They lived in Chicago for a time, then moved to Spencer around 1993. Darrel passed away in 2019. Rosalie enjoyed spending time with Darrel, listening to music, and “Miller time.” Survivors include her siblings: Mary Ann Lesar of Loyal, Bernice Lamarr of Neillsville, Nancy Auman of Racine, Jerry (Marilynn) Auman of Willard, Linda (Dennis Schumacher) Villalpando of Spencer, Elaine (Bob) Langreck of Spencer, and Debbie Auman of Muskego; nieces and nephews: Laura (Bernie) Kolano of Greenwood, Dean Lesar of Willard, Gene (Lori) Lamarr of Missouri, Brian (Jamie) Langreck of Medford, Brenda Johnson of Spencer, Beth (Mark Schmitt) of Waukesha, Brad (Stacy) Langreck of East Troy, Pat (Heather) Villalpando of Eau Claire, and Mike (Dawn) Villalpando of Conrath; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Allen L. Schneider, 89, Greenwood, passed away at his home on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023. A memorial service will be held at Immanuel United Church of Christ, rural Greenwood, on Dec. 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Allen LaVern Schneider was born on Aug. 16, 1934, in the town of Green Grove, rural Curtiss, to Robert H. and Anna A. (Buss) Schneider. He was raised and received his education in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1952. After high school, Al attended Wausau University Extension in Wausau. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on Aug. 8, 1957, and served with the 50th Airborne Signal Battalion, 82nd Airborne in Fort Bragg, N.C., where he repaired teletype equipment until his honorable discharge on Aug. 7, 1959. After returning home, Al moved to Milwaukee, where he worked for Western Electric as an electrician until retiring in 1989. He moved back to Greenwood and resided there until his death.
