Rozellville Horseshoe Pitching Club earns three state championships

Earlier this month, 10 horseshoe pitchers from the Rozellville Horseshoe Pitching Club competed in the 103rd Wisconsin State Championships in Fond du Lac.

Aleena Lepak, Edgar, claimed top honors with her seventh Womens State title. She pitched an average of 81.86% accuracy (averaging over 41 ringers out of 50 shoes each game).

Lillyan Cook, Marshfield, claimed her fourth Junior Girls State title.

Jazmyn Kildahl, Stratford, claimed her third Cadet Girls State title.

Sonia Cook, Auburndale, took first in Womens Class B, Conner Kildahl, Stratford, earned third place in Junior Boys, and Logan Lepak, Edgar, earned fourth place in Cadet Boys.

Tava Cook, Stratford, took sixth in Womens B, Mike Berdan, Stratford, took sixth in Mens C, Kevin Hellenbrand, Marshfield, took fourth in Elders C, and Jim Berdan, Auburndale, took sixth in Elders F.

Other area pitchers includeAmy Mabry, Unity, third in Womens B; Dustin Duerr, Medford, seventh in Mens A; Kent Frailing, Kronenwetter, fifth in Mens B; Bruce Weiler, Dorchester, fifth in Mens D; Justin Mabry, Unity, third in Mens E; John Drexler, Marshfield, third in Elders C; Ralph Marthaler, Medford sixth in Elders D.

The world tournament will be held in Wausau in July of 2026.
