Mark Ashbeck

Mark C. Ashbeck, 49, of Edgar, departed this life in the late evening hours of Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center-Weston. He was born in Wausau on December 4, 1975, to the late Richard T. Ashbeck, Jr. and Carol Ann (Bornheimer) Ashbeck and was a graduate of Edgar High School.

Furthering his education at Northcentral Technical College, he received an associate degree in marketing. Among his many occupations, he took over the family dairy farm, owning and operating it until 2019. He was very down-to-earth and enjoyed spending time with his kids and his friends. He was a huge basketball fan and enjoyed March Madness. On September 18, 2010, he was united in marriage to Danielle Becker at the family farm.

Mark was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar. He leaves behind and will be deeply missed by his wife, Danielle of Edgar; his daughter, Erica (Deonti) Norris of Madison; his son, Ryan Ashbeck of Edgar; his mother, Carol Ann Ashbeck of Edgar and his mother-in-law, Polly Becker of Edgar. His memory further lives on by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Sara (Brian) Streveler of Colby, Sandy (Joseph) Bratina of Brookfield and Nancy (Jim) Schaefer of Medford; his sisters-in-law: April Becker (Tim Koch) and Amanda (Luke) Schessler; his nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Richard T. Ashbeck, Jr. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar with Rev. Alan Wierzba presiding. He will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery next to his father. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The honor of pallbearer belongs to: Jason Weith, Anthony Totzke, Tim Koch, Cade Koch, Brent Heil and Deonti Norris.
