Rademacher jumps to wins at Pittsville, boys rule distance runs

Maddie Rademacher won two events for the girls and Kaleb Scott won twice while leading high-scoring 1,600- and 800-meter events for Rib Lake at Monday’s Pittsville Invitational.
The boys placed third in the six-team meet, scoring 113 points and winning four events. The girls took fifth with 53 points, beating Port Edwards (9). Marathon edged Neillsville 158-148 for the team title, while Loyal squeaked by Pittsville 113-109 for third.
Rademacher, a sophomore, won the high jump competition by clearing 5 feet for a new personal-best height. That was enough to beat Loyal’s talented junior Addysen Wolf by 2 inches. Rib Lake’s Hadassah Nelson added six points with a third-place jump of 4 feet, 8 inches that was also a season-best.
Rademacher also won the long jump competition with her best jump going 154.5. That jump beat Marathon’s Maycie Myszka by 6 inches and was 1.5 inches off her season-best. This was a strong event for the Rib Lake girls with Emma Tlusty taking fourth at a season-best 14-2.5 and Roxy Goberville-Lopez (12-9), Ella Grzanna (12 feet) and Avie Schutt (10-8) all posting season-best distances while placing 12th, 17th and 21st.
