Medford Choir Holds

The Medford Area Senior High School choir program held the annual Spring Concert on May 5. The event featured performances by the Concert Choir, Raider Choir, Momentum and Take Note.
The choirs were accompanied by Becky Beebe and Carmen Ognenoff.
The show started with the mixed choirs performing a traditional South African song Tshotsholoza featuring soloist Hailey Olson-Murray.
Raider Choir performed Every Night When the Sun Goes In and 9 to 5, along with 4 Chord Melody.
Momentum performed My Very Own and Seven Bridges Road.
Concert Choir performed Shut De Do with soloist Kate Gierl. The Concert Choir also performed the Lakota Lullaby Chante Waste Hoksila, and Praise His Holy Name. The group also performed Arirang, a traditional Korean Folk Song.
Take Note performed And So It Goes and Chile con Carne.
The spring concert is also when the choir awards are given along with the solo and ensemble recognitions, GNC All-Conference Choir, State Honors Choir Participants and recognition for section leaders, dance captains and officers and recognition of the choir seniors.
The top two prizes each year are the Directorâs Award presented this year to Isaac Kummer and the National Choral Award presented to Christian Mahner.
The combined choirs joined in saluting the choir seniors with Running Home to You. Members of the senior class in choir this year included: In Concert Choir â Ellyanne Manecke, Unica Ramm, Hailey Olson-Murray, Alexandra Paff, Makenna Wellman, Brett Lemke, Christian Mahner, Gatlin Piller, Isaac Kummer, and Hunter Mantell. In Take Note â Ellyanne Manecke, Amy Espinoza, Hailey Olson-Murray, Christian Mahner, Alexandra Paff, and Makenna Wellman. In Momentum â Hailie Barker, Ellyanne Manecke, Amy Espinoza, Naomi Fleegel, Chet Medina Fuentes, Hailey Olson-Murray, Alexandra Paff, Matthew Brunner, Christian Mahner, Giatlin Piller, Makenna Wellman, Samson Whetstone, Isaac Kummer, Charlie Newberry, and Jason Scott.
The concert concluded with the mixed choirs singing Sisi Ni Moja (We Are One).
