Athens senior catcher Abby Diethelm doubled in the first inning and moved over to third base but she didn’t score after Danica Diethlem was thrown out attempting to steal second base. Abby Diethelm batted two for two in the loss. Freshman third baseman Jaelin Switlick hit one for one with a walk. Sophomore leading hitting centerfielder Karly Eckert was one for three at the plate.

Podjaski suffered the pitching loss in Marathon’s 7-0 home defeat to Auburndale on Tuesday. The Red Raiders only had four hits. Stencil batted two for three. Marathon currently has a 6-6 overall record this season.
