On June 1, members of the local community gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Vault Village at 280 East Main St. in Gilman. New co-owner Alicia Soper said, “We are all excited to carry on and enhance [Vault Village].”

Soper shares ownership with Lynn Rosemeyer and Amanda Rosemeyer. On the story of how they came to purchase Vault Village, Lynn Rosemeyer said, “The Gilman development foundation started this business back in 2022, and they were just excited to get a business going on Main St. They got it up and running and then were looking to sell so they could help another business get started on Main St. So, we decided to be the people that would purchase the building. We had seen a lot of success with the previous owners and want to continue to grow and build on that.”

While there are new owners, the products and services offered at Vault Village will remain unchanged. Soper stated, “It’s still all of the same great venders. We’ve got maple syrup, honey, cups, signs, walking canes, and candles. We have a boutique of clothing and shoes. The building also offers an insurance agency office with Stacy Stephens, a nutritional store with shakes by Jessica Wisocky, a salon run by Dawn Chaplinski, and we have housing on the top. It’s a lot of great businesses in one building.”

On these venders, Lynn Rosemeyer explained, “A lot of the venders are local venders, the majority are from this area in Gilman. We have some from the Medford area. The pride they show in this business is exceptional. We are very fortunate to have all of them.”

When describing what Vault Village means to the community, Lynn Rosemeyer said, “It is a place to go. We also have a coffee shop in there. The coffee shop is a place where people can gather. It is wonderful to see families and friends getting together to have a cup of coffee and do a little shopping. We get a lot of kids coming in after school for smoothies. It’s nice that they also have a place to gather and visit with their friends.”

Soper added, “We employ a lot of high school kids, and a lot of ladies in the community, so it is a great place to work.”

Looking at what is next for Vault Village, Lynn Rosemeyer said, “We want to continue to expand on the boutique part of it. That is something that is really needed in our area.”

Vault Village is open Wednesday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
