Athens FBLA competes at State Leadership Conference


The Athens Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) participated in the State Leadership Conference, April 8-9, to earn the right to compete at the National Leadership Conference.
Over 500 FBLA members and advisers from 24 regional chapters competed in over 65 competitive events, attended workshops and elected a new 2024-2025 Wisconsin State FBLA officer team. Jennifer Espinoza-Quiroz also carried out her final duties as the State Region 2 vice president.
Isabella Zastrow was the top finisher for Athens FBLA, taking fourth place in Introduction to Public Speaking. Isabella will advance to the National Conference, held June 29-July 2 in Orlando, Fla.
More than 8,700 high school members from nearly 1,600 high schools will compete in more than 100 competitive events over four days. Students also engage in learning workshops, meet with representatives from more than 60 colleges, universities, and employers, and will hear from keynote speaker, Shawn Nelson, founder of Love Sac.

Athens FBLA members placing in the top 10 at the state competition in events were: 4th Place: Isabella Zastrow; Introduction to Public Speaking, advancing to the National Competition 7th Place: Addison Lavicka, Faith Nowak and Alexa Weiler; American Enterprise Project 7th Place: Vanessa Espinoza-Quiroz, Ava Ford and Sy’Rih Hartwig; Digital Video Production.
