Two vehicle crashes

On April 2 at 11:45 a.m., a vehicle operated by Geraldine Cunningham, 70, of Gilman, was southbound on CTH B in the village of Gilman when a vehicle operated by Sally Lis, 40, of Thorp, pulled out in front of them from E. McSloy Street. Cunningham's vehicle had the right of way and the driver stated she did not see the Lis vehicle until the crash. According to the report, Lis stated that she had stopped for the stop sign and watched a vehicle go by then proceeded westbound through the intersection as she believed the intersection was clear. The Lis vehicle was struck on the passenger side and ended up in the lawn of the residence on the southwest corner of the intersection. The Cunningham vehicle sustained damage to the front end and ended up in a lawn just west of the intersection on the north side of the road. Both units sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene and both drivers were injured as a result of the crash. Lis was ticketed for failure to yield right of way.
On April 12 at 6:12 a.m., a vehicle operated by Lane Meier, 20, of Ogema, traveling north on Hwy 102 in the town of Rib Lake, when the left front wheel came off the vehicle. The left front wheel then struck a vehicle operated by David Becker, 59, of Rib Lake, as it was traveling south on Hwy 102 causing considerable damage to the front end disabling it. Neither driver was injured. The Meier vehicle was driven from the scene after a new tire and wheel was installed. The Becker vehicle was towed home by the operator.
On April 7 at 11:26 a.m., a vehicle operated by Shay Huegli, 29, of Medford, struck a vehicle owned by Andrew Books, while it was parked and unoccupied in the Medford Plaza Parking lot causing damage to the rear, driver’s side fender and to the front bumper of the Huegli vehicle.
On April 3 at 2 p.m., a Federal Express cargo van operated by Evan Sveum, 58, of Chippewa Falls, was eastbound on CTH M in the town of Pershing, when it skiddd into the south ditch coming to rest after impacting a tree.
