C alendar 52ND ANNUAL ABBOTSFORD CHRISTMAS PARADE
The Abbotsford Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 2 starting at 7:30 p.m. at the TP Printing parking lot. Call 715-223-2342 to participate in the event.
CHRISTMAS PARADE EVENTS
Abbotsford will be hosting other events before the parade. Beginning at 9 a.m. at the Abbotsford City Hall, the Shoppes on Candy Cane Lane vendor and craft show will run until 3 p.m. Photos with Santa will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Abbotsford Lionâs Club soup sale will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until the soup is gone.
HOPE CENTER EVENTS
The Hope Center in Abbotsford is offering free English lessons on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m and on Thursdays at 5 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. The center is also hosting free Spanish lessons on Thursdays from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. To participate in the classes, students must register at www.hopecenter.space. To join via Zoom during class, text 715-316-4466. The Hope Center is also hosting a worship service at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
DORCHESTER LIONS DEER HIDE COLLECTION
We want your hide! The Wisconsin Lions Foundation has launched their deer hide collection across Wisconsin. This fundraiser helps raise money for the many Lions charities and community projects. If you would like to donate your deer hide, the Dorchester Lions has a drop off site at the Dorchester C Store on the corner of Hwy 13 and Business Hwy. A.
HOLIDAY CRAFT AND VENDOR SHOW
Dorchester Memorial Hall will be the site of the Fifth Annual Holiday Craft and Vendor Show on December 2. The show will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include over 30 crafters and vendors. Concessions will also be available at the venue.
CCL VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS TEA
The Colby Community Library will be hosting Victorian Christmas Tea on Saturday, December 2 at 11 a.m. There is a charge associated with the event which covers a 3-tea course and three food courses. Call the library at 715-223-2000 to reserve a spot. Only 42 spaces are available for the event which will celebrate Colbyâs Sesquicentennial anniversary. Proper tea attire is encouraged.
SNOWMOBILE SAFETY CLASS
The Colby Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will be holding a snowmobile safety class on Wednesday, December 27 and Thursday, December 28 from 5:30 â 8:30 p.m. at the Colby Lions Shelter. Anyone 12 â 15 years of age is required to pass a classroom course before operating a snowmobile on a public trail. DNR certified instructors will be teaching the course. FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
