Shoe Sensation to celebrate Medford for welcoming spirit

People living in Medford and Taylor County have always known that a strong sense of community mixed with friendliness and hospitality is the foundation of what makes this a great place to live and work. It is this sense of community and welcoming that makes the community a great place to start a business as well.

The local Shoe Sensation store recognizes Medford and surrounding areas for their community spirit as it celebrates its first anniversary here.

“We love being part of this community,” said Alexis Kowalski, local store leader. “Serving our neighbors through local charitable partnerships has been a major focus for us since we opened. It seems natural to open our doors with some fun and activities to say ‘thank you’ for weaving us into the fabric of Medford.”

Shoe Sensation has been actively involved in supporting the American Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Alliance, 2023 Medford Parkfest, and Harvest Days at the Frances L Simek Memorial Library.

In fact, local charitable involvement is part of the national Shoe Sensation mantra.

“We plant our stores in smaller cities and towns where we can offer large-scale name-brand selection with smalltown customer service,” said CEO Dave Schoengart. “We partner with local charities and participate actively in local events because we think it’s important to help make our communities like Medford the best they can be.”

The community celebration at 111 N 8th St will include a special celebration with the Medford Area Chamber of Commerce on the morning of Friday, November 3, continued by activities for kids such as a Duck Pond and Temporary Tattoos for the entire weekend.

Throughout the weekend, the store will also offer customers the opportunity to enter to win either a $500 shopping spree or free shoes for their entire immediate family. Additional specials, discounts and mystery cards will also be available through Sunday.

Shoe Sensation carries products for toddlers to adults, including work boots, athletic shoes, dress shoes and flip flops in brand names like Hey Dude, Charly, Under Armour, Adidas, New Balance, Fila, Puma, Skechers, Birkenstocks and many more favorites.
