NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE VILLAGE OF SPENCER, WIS. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on March 9, 2026, the village board of the Village of Spencer adopted Ordinance No. 26-1, titled “Building Construction,” amending Chapter 193 of the village Code of Ordinances. The ordinance updates citations to Wisconsin Administrative Code chapters SPS 320–327 (excluding SPS 326) for one- and two-family dwellings, revises the definition of “Uniform Dwelling Code” to match current state chapter titles, and confirms that the village’s certified building inspector enforces the Uniform Dwelling Code under SPS 305. The ordinance also adopts by reference the state electrical code in SPS 316, replaces outdated references to “Building Inspector” with “Electrical Inspector” or “Plumbing Inspector,” substitutes “State Electrical Code” with “SPS 316,” and repeals conflicting provisions.
