Senior nutrition site menus announced for October

The menu for the month of October has been announced for the Senior Dining Centers of the Taylor County Commission on Aging. Persons 60 years and older and spouse, regardless of age, are welcome to participate in the noon meals. In Jump River, meals are served at noon on Tuesday and Thursday at the Jump River Community Center. In Medford, meals are served at noon on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Medford Senior Dining Center. In Gilman, meals are served at noon Monday through Thursday at the Gilman Senior Center. Meals are served in Goodrich at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at Royal Gaits Arena & Stables. In Stetsonville, meals are served at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday at the Centennial Community Center. Meals are served in Rib Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Rib Lake Senior Center. In Westboro, meals are served at 11:30 a.m on Tuesday and Thursday at the VFW Hall. Reservations must be made one day in advance by 2 p.m. Any questions, call Commission on Aging at 715748-1491.

Week of October 9- Friday: Ham and Scalloped Potatoes, Peas, Pineapple, Multi Grain Bread, Chocolate Pudding.

Week of October 16- Monday: Beef Stroganoff, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, Biscuit, Banana Cake. Tuesday: BBQ Pork, Whole Wheat Hoagie, Scalloped Potatoes, Rutabagas, Diced Peaches, Grapes. Wednesday: Rosemary Chicken, Baked Sweet Potato, Diced Hot Beets, Cornbread, Cranberry Bar. Thursday: Chili w/ Macaroni, Crackers, String Cheese, Mixed Greens, Dressing Packet, Apple Slices. Friday: Salmon Patty, Twice Baked Mashed, Coleslaw, Whole Wheat Bread, Beetnik Cake.

Week of October 23- Monday: Swiss Steak, Mashed Potatoes, 3-Bean Salad, Rye Bread, Ambrosia Fruit Salad. Tuesday: Chicken Florentine, Penne Pasta, Cauliflower, Mandarin Oranges, Bananas, Pudding. Wednesday: Beef Vegetable Stew, Biscuit, Corn, Tossed Salad, Cookie. Thursday: Lemon Herb Chicken, Baby Reds, Carrots, Biscuit, Diced Pears. Friday: Cabbage Rolls, country Trio Veggie, Whole Wheat Bread, Pineapple, Spice Cake.

Week of October 30- Monday: Baked Fish, Parsley Potatoes, Carrots, Rye Bread, Diced Mixed Fruit. Tuesday: Swedish Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Squash, Rye Bread, Pineapple, Chocolate Cake. Wednesday: Italian Rigatoni Casserole, Green Beans, Mixed Greens, Dressing Packet, Garlic Breadstick, Gingerbread Cake. Thursday: Chicken Broccoli Casserole, Pacific Veggie Blend, Whole Wheat Bread, Grape Juice, Strawberries and Yogurt. Friday: Ham on Marble Rye, Romaine, Tomato Slice, Mayo, Minestrone Soup, Crackers, Peach Slices.

Week of October 16- Monday: BLT Wrap, Baked Beans, 3 Bean Salad, Banana, Pudding. Tuesday: Medford Site Closed, Pizza Hotdish, Garlic Bread, Broccoli w/ Cheese, Grapes, Cupcake. Wednesday: Egg Salad on Kaiser Roll, Potato Salad, Pickle, Mandarin Oranges, Dessert Bar. Thursday: Breaded Chicken Breast, Mashed Potato w/ Gravy, Cornbread, Cranberry Sauce, Cake. Friday Sites closed for Senior Health Fair.

Week of October 23- Monday: Sausage Links, French Toast Bake, Carrots, Pineapple, Cookie. Tuesday: Medford Site Closed, Baked Ham, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Corn, Applesauce, Fluff Salad. Wednesday: Shepards Pie w/corn, Carrots and Beans, Biscuit, Peaches, Jello Salad. Thursday: Pulled Pork BBQ’d Sandwich, Baked Beans, Pears, Cake. Friday: Gilman Site Closed, Baked Ham, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Corn, Applesauce, Fluff Salad.

Week of October 30- Monday: Breaded Fish, Augratin Potatoes, California Blend, Mandarin Oranges, Vanilla Pudding. Tuesday: Medford Site Closed, Chicken Breast, Potatoes, Corn, Fruit Cocktail, Brownie.
