R eports One Vehicle Crash

On September 19, at 5:25 a.m., a vehicle driven by Dylan Wilkinson, 29, of Hixton was traveling westbound on STH 64, west of CTH F. Wilkinson’s vehicle exited the roadway and entered the north ditch of STH 64. Wilkinson’s vehicle began to roll causing disabling damage to the vehicle. The vehicle struck multiple trees, eventually coming to rest on its passenger side. There were possible injuries to two passengers in the vehicle. Wilkinson was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, inattentive driving and failure to keep vehicle under control.

On September 19, at 7:23 a.m., a vehicle driven by Carol Guentner, 59, of Lublin was southbound on CTH A, when she swerved to avoid a group of deer that ran across the roadway. Guentner swerved too hard and ended up going into the east ditch of CTH A. Guentner’s vehicle struck a tree and an embankment before coming to a stop. Guentner did suffer suspected minor injuries. Her vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

On September 27, at 2:41 p.m., a vehicle driven by Curtis Garrett, 82, of Owen was westbound on CTH A nearing the intersection with 10th Ave. Garrett fell asleep, crossed the center line and struck a mailbox. Garrett’s vehicle then entered the ditch of the eastbound lane. No injuries were sustained as a result of the accident. Garrett was issued a warning for operating left of center. Garrett’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

Two Vehicle Crash

On September 22, at 7:01 a.m., a vehicle driven by Henry Schultz, 47 of Abbotsford was stopped for a line of traffic when Schultz’s vehicle was rear ended by a vehicle driven by Austin Klinger, 17, of Dorchester. Klinger advised that he saw the vehicles in front of him but did not realize they were stopped until it was too late. Both vehicles sustained damage from the accident but neither driver was injured.

On October 3, at 10:25 a.m., a vehicle driven by Linda Dake, 68 of Stetsonville was backing out of a parking spot and backed into a vehicle driven by Gene Title, 83, of Medford. The accident caused minor damage. There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.

Hit and Run

On September 28, at 8:42 p.m., a vehicle driven by Vayda Daughenbaugh, 16, of Gilman was westbound on STH 64. She stated that she activated her right turn signal and then slowed to make the turn when she was rearended by a black lifted pickup truck which she believed to be either a Chevy or Dodge. Daughenbaugh stated that the vehicle then turned around and fled the scene of the crash eastbound on STH 64. There was minor damage to Daughenbaugh’s vehicle and she sustained a possible injury to her neck. Daughenbaugh was cited for operating while suspended.

Deer Related

On September 22, at 5:25 a.m., a vehicle driven by Mark Illman, 56, of Stetsonville struck a deer on STH 13 in the town of Little Black.

On September 23, at 10:04 p.m., a vehicle driven by Lynn Kruzicki, 61, of Plover struck a deer on Anderson Road in the town of Medford.

On September 28, at 7:06 a.m., a vehicle driven by Savannah Fuchs 37, of Westboro struck a deer on STH 13 in the town of Medford.
