Senior nutrition site menus announced for February

The menu for the month of February has been announced for the Senior Dining Centers of the Taylor County Commission on Aging. Persons 60 years and older and spouse, regardless of age, are welcome to participate in the noon meals. In Jump River, meals are served at noon on Tuesday and Thursday at the Jump River Community Center. In Medford, meals are served at noon on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Medford Senior Dining Center. In Gilman, meals are served at noon Monday through Thursday at the Gilman Senior Center. Meals are served in Goodrich at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at Royal Gaits Arena & Stables. In Stetsonville, meals are served at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday at the Centennial Community Center. Meals are served in Rib Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Rib Lake Senior Center. In Westboro, meals are served at 11:30 a.m on Tuesday and Thursday at the VFW Hall. Reservations must be made one day in advance by 2 p.m. Any questions, call Commission on Aging at 715748-1491.

Week of February 1- Wednesday, spaghetti & meat sauce, mixed greens w/ dressing, garlic breadstick, mandarin oranges, pineapple cake; Thursday, beef stroganoff, mashed potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower, biscuit, fresh grapes; Friday, sliced turkey sandwich, on whole wheat bread, mayo, lettuce & tomato, cream of broccoli soup, crackers, peaches, cookie.

Week of February 6- Monday, tuna noodle casserole, carrots, rye bread, diced fruit mix, beetnik chocolate cake; Tuesday, chicken breast, mushroom & bacon sauce, brown rice, Brussel sprouts, apple slices, raisin cookie; Wednesday, salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, multi-grain bread, vanilla yogurt & berries; Thursday, sloppy joe w/bun, roasted potatoes, baked beans, grape salad; Friday, egg, sausage & cheese breakfast bake, seasoned american potatoes, steamed broccoli, muffin, pineapple.

Week of February 13- Monday, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggie blend, whole wheat bread, applesauce; Tuesday, oven baked rosemary chicken, baked sweet potato, broccoli, cornbread, strawberries; Wednesday, ham & scalloped potatoes, peas, pineapple, multigrain bread, chocolate pudding; Thursday, lasagna, carrots, mixed greens w/ dressing, garlic breadstick, fruit jell-o dessert; Friday, chicken enchilada casserole, Wisconsin blend vegetables, biscuit, mandarin oranges, peach upside down cake.

Week of February 20- Monday, bbq pork, whole wheat hoagie, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, peaches, fig newton cookie; Tuesday, cabbage rolls w/ tomato sauce, country trio veggie, whole wheat bread, pineapple, spice cake; Wednesday, cheesy rigatoni casserole, broccoli, pickled beets (cold), garlic breadstick, apple cake; Thursday, chicken a la king, carrots, biscuit, mixed greens w/ dressing, fudgy black bean brownies; Friday, lemon & pepper, fish, baby red potatoes, cauliflower, rye bread, banana.

Week of February 27- Monday, chili w/ macaroni, crackers, cheese, mixed greens w/ dressing, apple slices; Tuesday, beef vegetable stew, biscuit, corn, vanilla yogurt & berries Reserve your meal by 2:00 p.m. the day before you dine.

Week of February 20- Monday, pot pie casserole w/peas, biscuit, peaches, chocolate pudding; Tuesday, beef roast, potatoes w/carrots, applesauce, cake; Wednesday, pepperoni pizza, lettuce salad, oranges, Texas brownies; Thursday, meatballs w/gravy, rice, carrots, fruit cocktail, chocolate bar; Friday, beef roast, potatoes w/carrots, applesauce, cake.

Week of February 27- Monday, taco salad w/lettuce, tomatoes, & black olives, chips, apricots, cookies; Tuesday, egg salad on croissant, 3 bean salad, pineapple, cupcake.
