Jessica Faude, RN, is the new Vice President-Chief Nursing Officer (VP-CNO) for Aspirus Medford and Aspirus Stanley Hospitals effective March 14. She’s served as Interim VP-CNO since October 2021.

“Our Aspirus hospitals and the communities of Medford and Stanley are fortunate to have Jessica serving as our Chief Nursing Officer,” said Dale Hustedt, President of Aspirus Medford and Stanley Hospitals. “She’s highly experienced, well educated, and a great listener and problem solver.”

Faude began her tenure at Aspirus Medford in 2004 as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Nurse Technician before becoming a Registered Nurse. In 2010, she took on the role of RN Case Manager for Aspirus Medford’s Medical/Surgical and ICU department. For the next 10 years Faude worked to expand her scope of responsibilities and people management, becoming Director of the Medical/Surgical, ICU and Swing Bed department in 2014 and Inpatient Director overseeing Medical/Surgical, ICU, Swing Bed, Birthing Center, Respiratory Therapy and House Supervisor in 2020. During her time as a director, she served as Interim VP-CNO twice.

Among Faude’s many recent accomplishments is coordinating the use and integration of federal Disaster Medical Assistance Teams (DMAT) at Aspirus Medford to increase bed capacity from 12 to 30 during the fall 2020 COVID-19 surge, allowing the hospital to care for more patients during this critical time.

A 2020 recipient of the Hester Davis Outstanding Leadership Award, Faude was also instrumental in implementing an eICU program to expand Aspirus Medford’s ICU capabilities and in building and standardizing the Aspirus System Swing Bed program throughout the system’s hospitals in Wisconsin and Michigan.

“I am very honored for this opportunity to serve our teams at Aspirus Medford and Aspirus Stanley as Chief Nursing Officer,” said Faude. ”Through my past nursing and leadership experiences, I have developed a strong drive and passion for rural healthcare, and I am excited to positively support, inspire, and strengthen our teams so we can continue to meet the present and future needs of our communities.”

Faude holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Wyoming. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing in Healthcare Administration from Capella University. She currently serves as Chair of the Aspirus System Falls Team and is the Wisconsin Critical Access Hospital manager representative on the Aspirus System Nurse Professional Practice Council.
