The release continues: “Residents should have easy access to health care services delivered in a timely manner where they choose to receive it. The patients we serve who reside in Medford and surrounding communities have expressed their need for local Marshfield Clinic services. The addition of primary, specialty care and emergency care helps meet that need, and means that our Medford patients and residents won’t have to travel as far to receive their care at Marshfield Clinic.”

“These hospital projects represent the continued progress of our strategy to expand access to excellent care for rural communities. We made a promise to those we serve that we would provide care how, when and where they want to receive it, and we are proud to keep delivering on that promise,” said Dr. Susan Turney, CEO Marshfield Clinic Health System.

The announcement came as the health system also announced the name of its Stevens Point project and the expansion of the Wisconsin Rapids

campus.
