Access to library online services limited on Sept. 23
Libraries in the Wisconsin Valley Library Service area will undergo a system upgrade that will limit access to several key online services on Sept. 23. Access is expected to resume by the end of the business day.
The services include:
● The online library catalog. ● Ebooks and digital audiobook access for new holds, checkouts, and renewals on Overdrive/Libby.
● Access to online resources. ● Checking in returned materials. Libraries will be affected in the counties of Clark, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, and Taylor County, and include:
● Abbotsford ● Antigo – all branches ● Colby ● Crandon ● Dorchester ● Western Taylor County Library, Gilman ● Granton ● Greenwood ● Edith B. Evans Community Library, Laona
● Loyal
● Marathon County Public Library – all branches
● Frances L. Simek Memorial Library, Medford
● T. B. Scott Free Library, Merrill ● Minocqua ● Neillsville ● Owen ● Rhinelander ● Rib Lake ● Jean M. Thomsen Memorial Library, Stetsonville
● Thorp ● Edward U. Demmer Memorial Library, Three Lakes
● Tomahawk ● Wabeno ● Westboro ● Withee The upgrade is expected to last most of the day, and library users could experience limited access to the services listed above. Contact your local library for Sept. 23 hours in case of closure.
