In just her freshman year, Lake Holcombe archer Andrea Friedman was always near the top for her school at competitions, but it was the post-season, which truly showed what she’s made of. At Nationals, in May, Friedman qualified for the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP)/IBO 3-D championship, which took place June 5-7, in Myrtle Beach, Fla.
There, at the championship, out of 1,102 female archers, Friedman placed 12th out of 96 in her grade, 79th out of 360 among high school girls and 129th overall.
“Her performance at the championships, is only the beginning of a bullseye-worthy journey,” said Carothers. “Myself, the team and the community, are so proud of her.”
