Knights drop to a set of strong teams

Going into the two games over the week, the Cornell-Lake Holcombe softball program knew it would be hard going, against two tough opponents.

April 22 vs. Mellen non-conference (L 11-0)

Although they don’t typically play them, the Knights hosted Mellen, in what turned out to be a shutout, as the visitors took an 11-0 victory.

April 24 vs. Flambeau conference (11-7)

Just a couple days later, the Knights were on the road to Flambeau, and while their offense was better this time out, the Knights still saw Flambeau claim an 11-7 win.
