It was off to Rice Lake, Feb. 1, for the Lake Holcombe archery program, with a lot of personal bests happening that day.

Coming up with the highest score for her team and first place for freshman girls, was Andrea Friedman, who scored 279 in bullseye and went on to shoot a perfect 50 during the 3-D portion of the event. Junior Logan Jaedike came next, with 263, followed by senior MacKenzie Bera, with 256.

Junior Brody Miller shot for a score of 253, while sophomore Trevor Tripp had 234 and eighth grader Katelyn Armstrong scored 232. Sophomore Donovan Bera followed that up with a score of 227, with seventh grader Dylon Richards scoring 224.

“I am proud of the archers who performed well at the tournament,” said coach Ashley Carothers. “Their dedication, hard work and skills are becoming stronger. They just keep growing and I get to be lucky enough to witness it first-hand.”
