Cornell takes a nail-biter on the road at Flambeau - Cadott drops trio of games

It was a long week for the Cadott girls basketball program, as they faced o with some tough competition.
Jan. 28 vs. Stanley-Boyd conference (L 45-34)
To begin the week, Cadott was at home, against Stanley- Boyd, but the match-up didn't go the way they had planned and the visitors took the win, 45-34.
Junior Taylor Hager led the way for the Hornets, with 20 points, while junior Lily Spaeth had 7 and senior Kasey Moldrem added 3 points. Sophomores Halie Martinson and Sophie Kowalczyk each chipped in with 2 points.
Jan. 31 vs. McDonell conference (L 55-29)
The Hornets were back in action at home, a few days later, going up against McDonell, in what proved to be a trying affair, offensively. Cadott was unable to get their offense going and the Macks took the win, 55-29.
Senior Tarynn Donahue scored 10 points for the Hornets, with senior Brooklyn Hrdlicka coming next, with 8, followed by junior Kennedy Nerdrum, with 6, while Moldrem had 4 points and Spaeth connected on a free throw.
Feb. 3 vs. Elk Mound non-conference (L 71-20)
Finally, after the weekend o, the Hornets traveled to Elk Mound, but the game did not go their way and the home team claimed victory, 71-20.
Hager added 9 points for Cadott, with Nerdrum notching 6, while Moldrem and Spaeth had 3 and 2, respectively.
Cadott now sits at 8-11 overall and are 3-7 in the West Cloverbelt Conference.
