Hornets finish in the top 10 schools at Nationals

Traveling to Lousiville, Ky., the Cadott archery program shot at National competition May 9-11, bringing home a ninth place finish for the high school team out of 252 schools, with a score of 3,407, and 87th out of 267 teams in the middle school division, scoring 3,176.

Claiming top honors for the Hornets, was senior Adam Evanson, taking fourth in his level and 11th overall, with a score of 295. Sophomore Abi Bowe came next, in 11th place, with a score of 290, followed by freshman Garrett Engel, who was 39th, scoring 287. Sophomore Anthony Glenz also scored 287, ending in 37th, with freshman Jada Loken next in 18th place, with a score of 286.

Following that, was eighth grader Megan LaNou, who shot a 285 and placed 27th, while senior Aubree Foldy was 54th, scoring 283. Sophomore Logan LaNou and eighth grader Kaylee Stai each scored 282, placing 78th and 49 in their grades, respectively. Sophomore Olive LaRose came next, with a score of 281 and 81st place, while junior Mozelle Walthers was 63rd, also scoring a 281.

Also competing at Nationals, were junior Trenten Schimmel, 144th, 279; Marcus Burlum, 121st, 279; senior Braden Denzine, 142nd, 277; sophomore Gavin Roscoe, 151st, 277; junior Brooklyn Hrdlicka, 121st, 276; freshman Gabe Dohms, 157th, 276; freshman Owen Fasbender, 200th, 274; sophomore Danielle Sikora, 190th, 273; sophomore Mary Walthers, 196th, 272; seventh grader Claire Seiberling, 112th, 272; and senior Wyatt Engel, 226th, 268.

Other Hornets shooting, were seventh grader Lorelai Puchalski, 193rd, 268; sophomore Alexa Gindt, 282nd, 266; eighth grader Carter Slagle, 272nd, 266; sophomore Zakary Hladilek, 334th, 266; seventh grader Jayden Bauer, 234th, 265; junior Emma Romanowski, 285th, 264; freshman Payton Pederson, 374th, 263; freshman Max Demulling, 391st, 262; eighth grader Lucas Bourget, 402nd, 262; seventh grader Brady Folczyk, 341st, 261; seventh grader Beau Folczyk, 395th, 258; seventh grader Keirsten Evanson, 394th, 256; eighth grader Adam Glenz, 566th, 255; eighth grader Andrea Wundrow, 617th, 246; and seventh grader Easton Harvey, 701st, 242.

“Congratulations to the team, for another great season,” said coach Scott Christenson.
