Wolfpack sends two to State

Two Cornell-Lake Holcombe-Gilman wrestlers were in Sectional action Feb. 17, at Edgar, where they looked to go even farther in competition.

In the Division 3 match-ups, senior Troy Duellman (157 pounds) made it to the championship match, facing off with Clear Lake’s Tyler Sunday. Sunday claimed the victory, forcing Duellman to grapple in the second place match with Auburndale’s Wyatt Malsin, where Duellman came out on top.

Also adding his name to the State bracket, was freshman Taydyn Angell (215), who dropped his second place match, then came storming back to claim third place, over Stratford’s Walker Weis, in a 4:33 fall.

The two Wolfpack members will now compete at State, Feb. 22-24.
