Chieftains downed by a dominant Trojans squad

It was off the short trek to New Auburn, Feb. 9, for the Lake Holcombe boys basketball team, for a conference match-up.

The first half, the Chieftains were down by 20 points at the break, but came tearing back to keep pace with the Trojans. Time ran out on Lake Holcombe and the game went to New Auburn, 80-58.

Freshman Emmit Johnson had a big night, with 20 points for the Chieftains, followed by junior Ryley Craker, with 12. Junior Brian Strzok was right behind, with 11, while senior Taye Yeager had 5.

Junior Chase Burgess and freshman Connor Kane followed that up with 4 points each, and senior Trent Nitek added 2 points.
