Chiefs see Cats claim win

By Ginna Young

After a game earlier in the week against Lake Holcombe, the Cornell boys basketball squad was back on their home court Feb. 9, facing off with Birchwood.

Scoring continued to be a problem for the Chiefs, as they were outscored more than 20 points in each half, leading to a Birchwood victory, 83-40.

Senior Bentley Spangler and sophomore Carson Stipek led on the scoreboard for Cornell, with 11 points, while freshman Bryce DeJongh added 9. Senior Jayden Joas-Shaw came next, with 6 points, with junior Torren Parker adding 2 and junior Hunter Anders making a free throw for 1 point.
