Lake Holcombe seeing visible progress in times

By Ginna Young

It was off to Frederic for the conference meet Oct. 10, where Lake Holcombe’s cross country team showed just how far they’ve come over the season.

Sophomore Alex Dixon narrowly missed his goal of breaking under 20 minutes to the finish line, with a time of 20:15.7, for 29th place.

“He missed by 14 seconds,” said coach Greg “Cookie” Anderson.

Sophomore Logan Jaedike followed that up with 81st (27:41.4), while on the girls side, sophomore Emma Wright was 18th (23:54.3).

“I think it went real well,” said Anderson.

The Chieftains now will run on Cadott’s course for the second time this year, for Sectional action, with the hopes to improve times even more.
