Playing their best football of the year, the Cadott program played host to unbeaten Spring Valley Sept. 29. The Cardinals took their unbeaten record into the match-up, but were in for the fight of the season against Cadott.

The Hornets got off to a good start, with a sprint across the field from junior Warren Bowe, for an opening quarter touchdown. With the two-point conversion good, Cadott was up, 8-0.

Spring Valley answered back in the second quarter, with a touchdown of their own, to tie the game, but until the fourth quarter, that was it for offense. The Hornets would break the tie in the final quarter and claim a 16-8 Homecoming victory.

Bowe ended his night with 102 yards rushing, followed by senior Easton Goodman, with 39 yards, while senior Jordan Peters had 21 yards and the second touchdown for the Hornets. Senior Connor Roth also added 13 yards rushing and junior Ashton Bremness came up with 16 yards.

With the win, Cadott’s record improves to 3-4 on the season and 3-2 in the Dunn St. Croix Conference.
