Cornell still undefeated at the top of the league

Cornell’s volleyball program remains unbeaten in the East Lakeland Conference, with a pair of wins.
Sept. 26 vs. Winter conference (W 3-0)
Hosting Winter, the Chiefs looked to hold onto their unbeaten record in league action and while the Warriors didn’t make it easy, Cornell held on to take a 3-0 win.
Overall, the Chiefs sit at 12-4 and have a 7-0 conference record.
Senior Brooke Anderson ended the night with 12 kills and 11 digs, while senior Brooke Sime added 5 kills and 10 digs, and junior Briana Glaus had 9 kills. Junior Bralee Schroeder came away with 32 assists, followed by freshman Kylee Hetherington, who chipped in with 6 kills and 5 aces.
Sept. 28 vs. Birchwood conference (W 3-0)
A couple days later, the Chiefs were on the road to face Birchwood, claiming an easy win in the first set, 25-10, and another in the second set, 25-5. The Bobcats offered some competition in the third set, but it wasn’t enough and Cornell won that set, 25-20.
On the night, senior Marcella Boehm added 7 kills, followed by Schroeder, with 7 aces and 23 assists, while Anderson notched 10 kills, and Sime ended with 6 kills and 5 aces.
