Chiefs topped by Raiders

By Ginna Young

Some new bleachers arrived just in time for Bruce to call on Cornell Sept. 29, for a conference football bout. The game started out well for the Chiefs, as they scored on a 21-yard touchdown run, to give them a 6-0 lead, but the two-point conversion failed and that would be it for their offense.

The Raiders racked up 38 points in just the first quarter, but went scoreless in the second, then added another 15 points in the third quarter, to take a 53-6 win. The loss holds Cornell winless, at 0-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Leading for the Chiefs, was sophomore Anthony Schofield, with 9 yards rushing and senior Bentley Spangler, with 50 yards passing. Senior Jayden Joas-Shaw finished with 35 yards on receiving and senior Luke Anderson had 15.
