Hornets top competition for first win this season

It was a good night for football on Cadott’s home field Sept. 15, as the Hornets hosted Dunn-St. Croix opponent Glenwood City.

In the end, the victory would belong to Cadott, with a 20-8 score over the Hilltoppers, giving the Hornets their first win of the season.

Cadott captured 292 yards on rushing on the night, led by senior Easton Goodman, who finished with 141 of those yards and two touchdowns. Junior Warren Bowe came next, with 82 yards rushing, followed by senior Connor Roth, with 54 and senior Ashton Bremness, with 12, while senior Jordan Peters added 3 yards rushing.

Peters also was six for 31 on passing, notching a touchdown and Roth had 31 yards receiving, with a touchdown to his credit.

The win gives the Hornets a 1-4 record overall and a 1-2 league record.
