Ending a great year for the Cadott track program, the athletes were recognized May 31, for their accomplishments, while parents were thanked for their support throughout the season. Coach Pat Rothbauer says it was fun having such good kids, who are willing to take instruction to improve. “It really was a great year, this year,” said Rothbauer. Receiving awards, left to right, in front, are sophomore Lyla Weggen (Distance Award); and freshmen Iszy Sonnentag (State champion-400-meter dash, State competitor-4x400-meter relay/100-meter dash/ triple jump, Sectional champion-400-meter dash, Regional champion-100-meter hurdles, Conference champion-400-meter dash/100-meter hurdles/triple jump/4x400-meter relay, First Team All-Conference-400-meter relay, MVP, Hurdle Award), Taylor Hager (State competitor-4x400-meter relay, Conference champion-4x400-meter relay, First Team All-Conference-400-meter relay, Rookie of the Year) and Haley Mathison (Conference championshot put, All-Conference Honorable Mention, Most Improved). In the middle, are junior Kendall Webster (Captain’s Award); sophomore Keira Urbanek (Sprinter of the Year); junior Emma Kowalczyk (Captain’s Award); senior Lucy Lindeman (Regional champion-discus throw, Field Award); juniors Alaina Kempen (Heart Award) and Jaycee Stephens (State competitor-4x400-meter relay, Conference champion-4x400-meter relay, First Team All-Conference-400-meter relay); and freshman Lilly Spaeth (State competitor-4x400-meter relay, Conference champion- 4x400-meter relay, First Team All-Conference-400-meter relay). In back, are juniors Sage Handrick (Go-To Guy Award) and Wyatt Engel (Hurdle Award); senior Nick Fasbender; junior Easton Goodman (Sprinter of the Year); and seniors Cole Pfeiffer (Captain’s Award) and Peter Weir (State competitor-3rd place in 800-meter dash/5th place in 400-meter dash, Regional champion-400-meter dash/800-meter dash, Conference champion-400-meter dash/800-meter dash, All-Conference Honorable Mention, MVP, Captain’s Award, Distance Award). Missing, are senior Dylan Drehmel (Field Award, First to Lose Your Lunch Award); sophomores Adrianna Goodman (Best Nose Dive Award) and Dominick Schmitt (Most Improved); and freshmen Anthony Glenz (Heart Award) and Saibyn Will (Rookie of the Year).
