Hosting Prairie Farm, the Knights got on the board quickly, scoring four runs in the opening inning, followed by two more in the second. The Panthers added a run in the third inning, but the Knights answered back with one of their own.

Neither team scored in the fourth, but the Panthers came up with a run in the fifth inning, as well as one in the sixth. The Knights bounced back with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and, while the Panthers brought one more run across the plate in the seventh, the Knights took the win, 9-4.

The next day, the Knights shook off the loss and were ready to play against Flambeau, keeping them scoreless for a 10-0 shutout victory.

“The Flambeau pitcher mixed speeds very well and it took us some time to adjust,” said coach Andy Lorenzen.”We played an entire game defensively Friday, making all the routine plays and not committing a single error. We were able to get some timely hits and ended the game in six innings.”

Again coming up with a win on the mound, was Anderson, with only 3 hits allowed in the game and 0 walks, while striking out 5 batters. She also led on offense for the Knights, with 3 hits, followed by Turany and Schwingle, with 2 hits each. Hetherington and Harycki each added a hit to the mix.
