Celebrating the end of their stellar season April 2, the Cadott wrestling teams were acknowledged for the hard work and dedication they put in this year. “We’re competing with the best teams,” said coach Josh Spaeth. “The future of Cadott wrestling looks bright.” Receiving awards, left to right, are junior Axel Tegels (State competitor, Conference Champion, First Team All-Conference, Comeback Player of the Year); freshman Iszy Sonnentag (State runner-up, Sectional champion, Girls MVP, Rookie of the Year, Most Takedowns, Most Pins); junior Shannon Burlum (State competitor, Most Improved); sophomore Maria Cuahua (State competitor); and junior Alaina Kempen (State competitor).
