Knights sneak past the hot Panthers in league opener

Unpredictable weather was an opponent the Cornell-Lake Holcombe softball team faced for most of the week, but a break in the rain allowed a game to be played April 21. The Knights saw a challenge in Prairie Farm for the conference bout, in just their second game of the year.

It was a close affair, but the Knights squeaked past the Panthers for a 9-8 victory, improving their record to 1-1 on the season and picking up the first league win.
