Cadott takes on Ellsworth in first outing of the year

Cadott’s baseball program was finally able to get in a game April 3, as they headed to Ellsworth, for a non-conference match.

The score was deadlocked at 1-1 in the first inning, but neither team scored in the second. Ellsworth took the lead in the third inning, with a lone run, then added two runs in the fourth.

The Hornets also came up with two runs in the fifth inning, but Ellsworth answered back with six runs of their own and three more in the sixth.

Bringing home a loss on the mound for Cadott, was sophomore Warren Bowe.

“Late inning rallies for Ellsworth helped put the game away in sixth innings,” said coach Brandon Geist.
