Hornets start new year with perfect 10-0 record

Ringing in 2023 with a bang, the Cadott girls basketball squad played host to non-conference opponent Cameron Jan. 2. Although the Hornets had some time off over the holidays, it didn’t show in the dominant win over the visitors.

“It was great to get back on the court after a long break,” said coach Dave Hazuga. “Girls were eager to play.”

So eager, in fact, that they outscored Cameron by 26 points in just the first half. The second half was much the same and Cameron never even came close to giving Cadott a scare.

The match went to the Hornets, 72-25, giving them a perfect 10-0 overall record on the season. Cadott is also 5-0 in the league.
