By Ginna Young

Cadott’s football program packed up and headed to Clear Lake Sept. 30, for a Dunn-St. Croix Conference battle, hoping to extend the season’s winning ways. And the Hornets did just that.

The Lakers were held to just eight points, while Cadott put up 30 points on the board to take the victory and improve their overall record to 6-1.

Leading on offense for the Hornets, was senior Tristan Drier, who had 61 yards passing and 87 yards rushing, while senior Nick Fasbender racked up 124 yards on rushing, followed by senior Tegan Ritter, with 117.

Junior Connor Roth came up with 24 yards rushing, with sophomore Warren Bowe ending with 21 and junior Nolan Blum chipping in with 17.

Ritter finished the night with 46 yards receiving, with Fasbender recording 22 and Blum catching for 6.

The Hornets are now 4-1 in the league, tied for third place, with several games left to play before the post-season.
