By Ginna Young

As the season races on, so does the Cadott volleyball program, completing another hectic week of games.

Sept. 27 vs. Osseo-Fairchild conference (W 3-1)

First up on the week’s schedule for the Hornets, was Osseo- Fairchild on the road, who proved a challenge for Cadott.

The first set in the match went back and forth, but Cadott came up with a 27-25 win. The Hornets also took the second set, 25-23, but dropped the third set, 25-17. Cadott refused to go down and claimed the fourth set, 25-23.

“It’s never easy going to a Cloverbelt West rival and getting wins,” said coach Lynn Schreiner, “but the team stayed aggressive and level-headed for a majority of the match, which helped them battle back when we were down and finish off some right sets.”

Leading on the night, was senior Lauryn Goettl, with 22 kills, 21 assists and 15 digs, while senior Elly Eiler came off with 13 kills, 10 assists and 23 digs. Junior Makenna Harel also had a big night, with 23 digs and 4 aces.

Sept. 29 vs. Fall Creek non-conference (W 3-0)
