Lake Holcombe unable to capture win from Raiders

Hopes were high for the big Homecoming football game at Lake Holcombe, with Bruce coming in as a conference threat Sept. 23.

Those hopes were dashed, as the Chieftains were unable to muster any offense, while Bruce racked up points on the scoreboard. At the end, the Raiders took the victory, 40-0, which brings Lake Holcombe’s record to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Senior Max Sauerwein led on passing, with 49 yards and had 48 yards rushing, as well as 3 tackles. Junior Brandon Moore ended with 24 yards in receiving.

Junior Zayden Merrill had 14 tackles on the night, followed by senior Parker Miller, with 10, and senior Cead Ewer, with 9.
