Hornets get stung by Bulldogs at Regionals
By Ginna Young
In the opening round of Regional action, the Cadott baseball squad headed to Boyceville, in what proved to be a close contest May 26.
“We played a good game all around,” said coach Spencer Kempf. “That is a good Boyceville team and defending State champions, so to play them so tough, is great for our program.”
Both teams remained scoreless until the sixth inning, when the Bulldogs managed to put a run on the board. With Cadott up to bat in a last-blast scramble, the Hornets tried to capitalize, but couldn’t come up with a run to tie the game and the match went to Boyceville, 1-0, ending the Hornets’ season.
