Incomplete teams hit the road for the Cadott track program, as they took part in the Blue Devil Invite at UW-Stout, March 22. The Hornets competed in the large field of athletes, individually and in relays.

On the boys side, senior Gavin Tegels carried off honors for shot put, with a distance of (37-11), while senior Cameron Messenger came in 10th in triple jump (34-06.5) and 11th in the 55-meter hurdles (9.67). Senior Kaleb Sonnentag was 15th in the 55 hurdles (9.97), followed by sophomore Wyatt Engel for 20th (10.56).

Engel was also 28th in the 400-meter dash (1:05.11), while senior Tad Weiss came in 32nd (2:52.57) in the 800-meter run and freshman Kaleb Lodahl was 33rd for the 1,600-meter run (6:02.75). Sophomore Cole Malecki finished in 31st in the shot put (28-07).

Tegels placed 50th in the 55-meter dash (7.58), while sophomore Adam Evanson was 71st in the event (9.24). Junior Ty Rowe ended the day in 69th for the 200-meter dash (32.28), with junior Jacob Rowe right behind in 70th (34.78).

In the relay event, Messenger, Sonnentag, J. Rowe, and freshmen Ethan Kerschner and Logan Gurske, placed 15th in the 4x400-meter relay (4:11.04).

For the girls, junior Julia Sedlacek placed 14th in the 55 hurdles (11.02), with sophomore Jaycee Stephens right behind in 15th (11.04). Sedlacek also was 14th in the long jump (13-05.75), while Stephens was 28th (12-02.50).

Junior Lucy Lindeman finished 23rd in shot put (25-06, with senior Emily Malecki in 43rd (18-09). In the 400-meter dash, sophomore Shannon Burlum came in 31st (1:24.03), while sophomore Jayden Winchell was 35th (1:27.78).

In the 200 dash, Sedlacek ended in 30th place (30.69), with Lindeman coming in 38th (31.40) and senior Mallory Kyes in 50th (32.30). Winchell was 35th in the 55 hurdles (12.98), while freshman Maria Cuahua finished in 38th (3:47309) in the 800 run.

Malecki also competed in the 55 dash, placing 74th, with sophomore Alaina Kempen in 77th (11.71).

The 4x400 relay consisted of Sedlacek, Stephens, Lindeman, Kyes and Winchell, with the girls placing 11th (5:03.73).
