Cadott makes a splash over Pirates in crossover match

Finishing up their regular season, the Cadott boys basketball squad headed to Gilman, for a Cloverbelt Conference crossover Feb. 24.
The Hornets went to play, as the offense racked up 34 points in the first half, while the defense held the Pirates to just 14 going into the break. The second half proved to be a closer contest, but Cadott prevailed, to bring in the 60-34 victory.
Freshman Warren Bowe led the charge for the Hornets, knocking down two shots from beyond the arc and coming up with 15 points. Freshman Braden Schneider was right behind, with 12 points, three of those from long range.
Senior Ryan Sonnentag also shot a three-pointer, ending with 9 points, while junior Tegan Ritter also had 9 points. Sophomore Jordan Peters shot two, three-pointers on the night, for 6 points.
Sophomore Dylan Drehmel added 4 points to the mix, with sophomore Brodee Burish recording 3. To round out the scoring, senior Cameron Messenger chipped in with 2.
Cadott’s final record sits at 5-19 overall on the season, with a 1-13 standing in the West Cloverbelt Conference, heading into Regional action.
