Cornell raided by Bruce
By Ginna Young
To finish out the week, Cornell’s boys basketball squad headed the short distance to Bruce, for an East Lakeland Conference match.
Scoring didn’t go as planned for the Chiefs, as they fell behind to the Red Raiders, who went on a 10-0 run, going into halftime down 44-16. Bruce would add another 33 points to the mix, while Cornell struggled to put points on the board.
“We played with one less starter for undisclosed disciplinary reasons and, unbeknownst to me, I had another starter play sick,” said coach Steve Parker.
