Competing in one of the toughest Regionals in the state, the Cornell-Gilman Wolfpack Wrestlers went into the contest at Cadott, Feb. 12, determined to send at least one on to Sectionals.

Sophomore Troy Duellman (145 pounds) showed what he is made of, after receiving a bye in the quarterfinals, then taking out Glenwood City’s Jonas Draxler in the semis, with an 11-0 major decision. Duellman claimed victory in the first place match with Cadott’s Ethan Duck, with a 6-0 decision, earning the right to move on to Sectionals at St. Croix Falls.

“He competed well and is one good day of wrestling away from moving on to State,” said coach Greg Sonnentag.
