After earning the right to compete at the Cloverbelt Conference Dual Meet Championship, the Cadott wrestlers headed to Abbotsford, going up against Neillsville-Greenwood-Loyal Jan. 28. With the 50-25 win, the Hornets finished undefeated in conference dual meets this season.

“I was most impressed with the fight our wrestlers showed,” said coach Josh Spaeth. “Win or lose, they never quit trying to score points.”

Coming up with a win, junior Brayden Sonnentag (132 pounds) faced off with Hudzon Sebesta-Opelt, with a 16-1 technical fall. Junior Nick Fasbender (138) also won over Rogan Ashbeck, by fall, in 0.31, while junior Tristan Drier (152) topped Keeghan Anding, by a 2:36 fall.
