Vavra runs last race before heading to Sectional event

The Cornell-Lake Holcombe Knights Cross Country team headed to Clear Lake, for the Lakeland Conference meet Oct. 12, with lone varsity senior runner Carly Vavra taking part.

Although Vavra’s legs were a “little heavy,” coach Greg Anderson says she did well on the course. Vavra finished the day in 23rd, with a time of 25:49.2.

Anderson and Vavra now look ahead to Sectional competition at Boyceville Oct. 23.

The course is a familiar one, as the Knights were there at the beginning of the season.

“That might be an advantage to her, because we just ran that one,” said Anderson.
